Barrio Montserrat was born in 1972 and is located in the historic center of Buenos Aires. Among its most iconic sites is La Plaza de Mayo, the most important square in Buenos Aires, the founding square and where the Plaza de la Victoria and the Fuerte were unified. There is the Microcentro Porteño and several historical monuments: The Cabildo, the Casa Rosada, the Government Building of the City of Buenos Aires, the Central House of Banco de La Nación and AFIP. The Pirámide de Mayo was the first patriotic monument in the city and was built to celebrate the May Revolution and was located in the center of the square
